About...

...the Drakes: Who we are.

Al Sr., Angie, Al Jr., Corina and Judah Drake. We live near Connell, WA and enjoy working, playing and eating together.

How We Got Started

Drake's Meat Rubs is a family owned business. We started in 2002 after being prompted by our 12 year old daughter, Corina.

Al grew up eating a variety of meats, including exotic fare like pig ears and raccoon. We enjoy meat and the rubs that enhance them. Except for the baby, Judah, every member of the family is involved in the business in one way or another.

Some of Al's finest moments are when he is out talking about rubs and helping his customers decide which to use. It is obvious to all that he enjoys the subject.

...the spice: What are meat rubs?

A dry rub is a mixture of herbs and/or spices sprinkled on meat before cooking. Your meat dish can sit with this rub on it for as long as three days in the fridge. (This allows more time for the flavors to penetrate.) We hope you enjoy our rubs and contact us with any questions you might have!
